Using proprietary technology, the compact ASE source provides excellent performance, including up to15dBm output power across the C-band, spectral and power stability and flat gain. And with a footprint of just 70x90x15 mm, the device is extremely compact, making it ideal for applications that require a built-in full function broadband light source.
Through a standard RS232 or I2C digital interface (customized interface designs are also available), the compact ASE source allows users to monitor its operating status and change settings through the user interface. On the control side, the ASE is capable of different modes, including: Automatic Power Control (APC) and Automatic Constant pump Current (ACC). On the reporting side, the ASE reports the input optical power, output optical power, pump status and module temperatures.
